Meet Our Veterinary Assistants

  • ERICA ZAMASTIL, BS, AVA

Pets of all sizes were important parts of our family growing up in northwestern Wisconsin, and after working for more than a decade as a technician and microbiologist in the food safety industry, I decided to change careers and pursue my passion for pets. I enrolled in Animal Behavior College's online Veterinary Assistant program and completed my externship with Waterloo Veterinary Care in the fall of 2019.  I am incredibly happy to be joining the team full-time; caring for pets and helping them live happy, healthy lives!  I earned a BS in Bacteriology from UW-Madison in 2003 and became an ABC Certified Veterinary Assistant in December 2019.

  • VICKY DOLFIN

'Caring for animals has been a joy of mine since I was little.  My interest and love for animals has only grown through the years.  I'm excited to be a part of the Waterloo Veterinary Care team and establishing new relationships with clients and their pets.'  Vicky adds her customer care talents, veterinary experience and experience with her own pets to our skilled team.

  • BRYNDLE KUSEL

I grew up in Watertown, WI and am currently attending school at Madison Area Technical College. I am working to earn an Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Science to complete my Veterinary Technician degree. I have always loved animals of all kinds, so this career has been a goal of mine to achieve since I was a little girl. I also have four of my own loving pets at home including my dogs Lilli (Australian Shepherd) and Peanut (Snorkie) along with my cats Cookie and Iggy. My own pets are one of the many reasons I am excited to continue to learn and grow within this field here at Waterloo Veterinary Care. I’m eager to get to know our clients and to care for their pets as I would my own.

  • MAX STILLIONS

I grew up in Bloomington, Indiana and moved to Wisconsin 4 years ago.  I grew up as a 4-H’er, and showed swine and goats for 10 years, along with my brother, sister, cousins, and many family friends.  Growing up, everyone around me had pets or livestock animals that they took care of and loved.  After moving to Wisconsin, I worked in a variety of different jobs, with nothing really sticking for me.  After losing work due to the pandemic, and considering my love for animals, I decided to apply for an assistant vet tech position in Madison. I fell in love with the work, and have plans to remain in this field for years to come!

  • GALEN COTTING

I grew up right here in Waterloo, Wisconsin and have always had a soft spot for animals, whether they be cute kittens or regal raptors. After getting my Bachelor's degree in wildlife ecology and biology from UW-Madison in 2019, I worked as a wildlife rehabilitator during the COVID-19 pandemic. I saw all manner of crazy cases, and my experience made me realize I wanted to go into veterinary medicine as a career! I am very excited to help care for all our clients’ pets and I look forward to doing everything I can for them.
